Soar for the challenge and thrill of it
Old School Fun and Badge Winner!
The Schweizer SGS 1-26A is a single-seat sailplane that is still flown in one-design competitions throughout the United States. It's small size, portability and ease-of-use contribute to keep this rugged and simple ship popular wherever sailplanes are flown. The 1-26 does not have stellar performance, from a L/D respect, but its minimum sink rate and maneuverability will keep it up on days when the thermals are small. Performing a cross-country task in the 1-26 will give you something to brag about!
